| Today is not a good day. Also, I feel masochistic? ANON MEMEETA: rrrr. I want to start using my LJ/DW (yes, I still cross-post, haha) again, but I just don't know what to write about. | |

| So, I've been in pain for the last few days. I initially thought I'd slept wrong, but the pain has been persisting and moving around the area of my neck and shoulders, so I think it's nerve-related. I lived on ibuprofen over the weekend (which was so much fun--I'll have to talk about that later. I went GHOST HUNTING), but it didn't help a lick. I still have some vicodin left over from when my tooth was hurting, so I've opted to take that (heheh, TAKE THAT) for now. It didn't seem like it was helping at first, but I guess it took a while to kick in. My neck doesn't feel all better, but it feels great and so do I, rofl. I'll probably be popping them like candy until I can get a dr's appointment, which will hopefully be no later than tomorrow. It's been painful to the point that it's hard to move sometimes.
But it's all good times right now. Good times, good times. - tags ::health

| Er. I'm feeling worse than I did yesterday. Those conversations will have to wait for later... Sorry, guys. -_-
Appointment in two hours. Whoo.

| Ugh... I've been in so much pain since Sunday. I don't know what I could have possibly done, but my back/hip/whatever is killing me. I actually woke up moaning twice last night because I couldn't find a comfortable position, and it hurts when I breathe.
Apologies if I've been a little testy, lately... Apparently my pain manifests itself in the form of rage, so that coupled with the PMSing = mega bitch time? ...and acting like a dumbass on certain communities... ugh... s-sorry.
At least I have an appointment with the doctor this Friday.

| Opinion, please?
My right foot has been swollen for the past two weeks. No pain, and the swelling goes away after taking water pills for a couple days, but inevitably returns afterward. I assumed it was due to eating poorly (there have been family issues; we've been eating tons of fast food because no one is shopping or cooking, not that I blame anyone), so I told myself I wouldn't eat anything with a lot of salt for the next couple days, but today the swelling is worse than ever and now my left ankle seems swollen as well. I called the doctor to make an appointment, but they have nothing until Monday. She said to go to the urgent care center. I don't want to make an unnecessary trip... it's kind of out of the way...
Should I go to urgent care tonight/tomorrow, or just grin and bear it for the weekend? I should be fine with water pills.
Opinions? Suggestions? Like I said, I'm not in any pain, so... I don't know. - tags ::health

| It turns out I have some massive infection in one of my roots, so I have to have a root canal. I'm scheduled for next Tuesday, but honestly? I'm going to go to a different dentist. Not because I want a second opinion (I'm pretty certain I have an infection, if the massive pain is any indication), but because I was just... really not impressed with this place.
When you're a new patient, isn't it standard to take a full-mouth x-ray so they know if you have any problems other than the one you came for? They only x-rayed the part that hurt.
Also, aren't they supposed to use new, disposable instruments for each patient? And they're supposed to open them in front of you, right? The instruments were already on the table when I got there and they looked... dirty. I'm not exaggerating. The little mirror thingy they use to look at your teeth? Dirty. Had some kind of stuff on it. She didn't even wipe it before she put it in my mouth. I never should have let her. Ugh.
So they ask me what I'm allergic to, right? Penicillin. And she seems SURPRISED. "If they don't give you Penicillin, what do they give you?" Uh. I dunno, one of the other 50 million antibiotics that AREN'T Penicillin? I haven't had Penicillin since I was a baby and my mom told me I broke out in a horrible rash. This DOCTOR? Said I probably wasn't really allergic and wanted to prescribe it to me, anyway. I'm not kidding.
Someone must have smacked her with a clue by four, though, because when she came back with the prescription, it was for Erythrocin (not that I would have taken the Penicillin, anyway. I mean, hello?).
She also seemed really nervous, like I had some horrible tooth disease that she couldn't find it in her heart to tell me about. What is it with nervous doctors, lately?
Anyway. Seems that the cavity I have is really close to the bone, so in addition to a root canal, they might have to do some kind of crown-lengthening procedure that I'd have to go to a specialist for. That's the worst case scenario.
Best case scenario? I'm looking at spending $510.
Ugh.
I don't think the figure will change with a second opinion, but there's no way in hell I'm getting a root canal done there. I just hope these antibiotics will stave off the infection so I'm not wanting to take a knife to my gums every time it flares up. - tags ::health

| Home from work today. I apparently have (or..had?) the flu..? I haven't had the flu since I was a little kid, if I even had it then... It's crazy how quickly the symptoms come on. I'd had a slightly sore throat for a couple days, and I was coughing a bit on Sunday, but on Monday morning, I felt pretty good. So I thought, "Yay, it was just a little cold! Zicam saved me! <333"
Then the chills and pounding headache started around 12:00 at work. I kept wondering if the heater was on because my face would get hot and prickly and then suddenly cool off, which usually happens when there's heat blowing on my face. But no. I had a fever. D: And then it kept climbing after I got home, and the headache got worse. My Tiffy pampered me with chicken noodle soup. <3
But the fever randomly went away last night, and I woke up this morning feeling pretty good. Still no fever, slight headache, a little congested, and a sore throat.
The flu doesn't go away that quickly, right? Maybe I just caught some weird, random thing that has flu-like symptoms. Huh. - tags ::health

| I've stayed up waaay too late playing Phoenix Wright and making icons. OWELL. I'm in an incredibly good mood right now! Possibly having to do with the fact that I got some pills from the doctor today (...er, yesterday) that have made my headache GO AWAY. Well, mostly at least. I can still fell the dullest of aches, but that's okay! It's ten times better than the way I was feeling earlier today. *celebrates*
I'm in one of those wacky moods... You know, when you know you're really tired, but you feel giddy and awake, anyway. Sooo... I'm not sure what to do with myself. It's almost 4 in the morning. I haven't stayed up this late in a loooong time, not even on the weekends. Erm. I suppose I could, uh... play more Phoenix Wright go to bed. Yeah. Or maybe play Pokemon Pearl! Does anyone here have a wi-fi connection?? WE SHOULD TOTALLY HOOK UP.
...possibly later. Going to sleep now. REALLY.
